Spreading Joy with Books on World Book Day

Mar 7, 2024
1 min read

World Book Day celebrates reading and a love of books for children everywhere, and we were thrilled to mark it by donating 571 books to The Children's Hospital Charity. They were given to children on the wards and in outpatients, and some were even used at a narcolepsy event.

We also donated 50 books to the Henry Dancer Days storyteller, who reads to children and young people on the oncology ward and can now give some books away too, and 50 books and 37 blankets to PACT for patients on the oncology ward and in clinic.

We want every family to be able to share a story, so our hospital donation included Braille books. That way more families can experience the special moments that reading together brings.
